Medicine for the Long Dark: Reading, Conversation, Ritual

A fundraiser for The New School at Commonweal

We are living in difficult and weighty times. The currents of loss and uncertainty flow around us continually, often leaving us feeling overwhelmed and powerless. In seasons such as this, it is essential that we remember and embody the medicines that are available to us. We are not without potency, without agency, without soul resources to face these emerging circumstances. Recognizing this can make a meaningful difference in how we respond to the call of the times. Join us as we explore the medicine we need for the Long Dark, the medicine we bring to the Long Dark, and surprisingly, the medicine we find in the Long Dark. The event will include a reading from Francis, a conversation between Francis and Jaune, and a participatory grief ritual for the community. Co-presented with Point Reyes Books.
